A Assembleia Legislativa vai atuar como mediadora nas negociações entre Governo do Estado, Polícia Militar e Corpo de Bombeiros, em torno da pauta de reivindicações dessas corporações, cujo movimento culminou com o protesto de policiais em todo Estado a partir da madrugada desta terça-feira (7).
O diálogo com o Poder Legislativo teve um saldo positivo: a paralisação foi suspensa, mediante o compromisso da Assembleia de apresentar uma proposta de acordo até o dia 23 de novembro.
Durante a reunião, os deputados ainda assumiram o compromisso de só votar o Orçamento Estadual para 2012 depois de encerradas as negociações com o Governo.
Os parlamentares também se prontificaram a interceder em favor dos policiais junto ao comando da Polícia Militar para evitar qualquer tipo de retaliação, visto que a Constituição Federal veda a participação de policiais militares e bombeiros em movimentos grevistas.
Durante a reunião, Manoel Ribeiro propôs nivelar os subsídios das carreiras da Polícia Militar aos da Polícia Civil. Ele disse, por exemplo, que o salário de um coronel da PM seria equiparado ao de um delegado da Polícia Civil. A sugestão foi vista com bons olhos pelos policiais, que afirmaram que levarão a proposta à assembléia geral.
Além do presidente Arnaldo Melo e do líder de Governo Manoel Ribeiro, também participaram da reunião no Gabinete da Presidência os deputados Marcelo Tavares (PSB), Stênio Rezende (PMDB), Eliziane Gama (PPS), Eduardo Braide (PMN), Hélio Soares (PP), Jota Pinto (PR), Rogério Cafeteira (PMN), Rubens Pereira Júnior (PC do B), Raimundo Cutrim (PSD) e Carlos Amorim (PDT).
