Os policiais localizaram a criança no município de São Mateus, após informações de que havia uma mulher naquela cidade que teria tido um bebê em Alto Alegre do Maranhão, na manhã do dia 25.
Cleudiane Conceição Ortenco Rocha, 20 anos, foi encontrada na casa dos pais na Rua Magalhães de Almeida, em São Mateus. Ela apresenta as mesmas características do retrato-falado divulgado pela Delegacia Geral na tarde desta terça-feira (26). Com a mulher, foram apreendidos o vestido e a bolsa que usava no dia do sequestro, passando-se por acompanhante de paciente no hospital.
Segundo informações do delegado Jair Lima de Paiva, da SPCI, ao ver a polícia em sua residência, a mulher apresentou um comportamento agitado e alegou que ficou internada no hospital, tendo o suposto parto ocorrido por volta das 9h da última segunda-feira (25). A polícia constatou, no entanto, não haver registro em nome dela na referida unidade de saúde.
O bebê foi levado para o Hospital de Alto Alegre, onde foi reconhecido pela família. A mulher também foi conduzida, sob a custódia da polícia, para o Hospital daquele município, tendo sido comprovado que ela é a sequestradora da criança.
