No local um cadeirante ficou revoltado com a situação tentou entrar em contato com a Secretaria Municipal de Trânsito e Transporte (SMTT) para reclamar, chegaram a atender ao chamado dizendo que, uma equipe de guardas estaria se deslocando para o local, mais nunca apareceram.
Situações iguais a essa são frequentes em São Luís, onde há desrespeito com deficientes físicos.

Isso é uma verdadeira falta de respeito com os cadeirantes! Uma propaganda na TV mostra bem isso com o intuito de conscientizar os cidadãos. A novela “Viver a Vida”, mostrou o caso da personagem Luciana, que ficou paralítica e teve que enfrentar os obstáculos impostos nas ruas. Mas tem gente que não aprende mesmo!
